Big Business: Michael Amaral Furniture "Locally Made. Environmentally Fine"

Here is the latest development to the Blog! Inspired by the Rhode Island community of local small businesses, Marc and I have decided to feature one every so often and hopefully spread the news about talented, interesting & full of life people who are going against the grain and following their dreams. To most entrepreneurs there is nothing small about starting your own business hence the name "Big Business". We are very excited to introduce a great friend of ours as the first "Big Business" feature.

As a Cumberland native, Michael Amaral has always believed that the best resource was always in his backyard. That is the reason he chooses to only utilize trees that are eco-friendly and locally harvested. He keeps it simple, he converted his garage into his full-time wood-shop, works with local sawmills to obtain the wood, and creates Rhode Island furniture for the world to enjoy.
